arsprima takes part with the solo exhibition dedicated to the artist Pietro Broggini, killed in a motorcycle crash in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) last June 2013, in the OFF circuit of the European Festival of Photography going on in Reggio Emilia (Italy).
This solo exhibition entitled “Il pensiero bianco_ the white thought”, dedicated to the Italian photographer who had moved to Germany some 20 years ago, is curated by Cristina Gilda Artese and Giovanni Cervi.
The exhibition includes 11 works in shades of white, most of them unpublished, and it can be visited free of charge at the Cloisters of San Domenico until June 15th 2014.
During the exhibition a shodo performance, the ancient art of Japanese calligraphy, took place on Saturday, May 3rd.
Special guest Emanuele Bertolani, a Japanese language and literature expert, who has been practicing martial arts, shodo, tea ceremony and Japanese dance for many years, performed some of the best-known sho in the presence of an audience who was then given his works done on rice paper.
